We are delighted to announce that the former rectory is now a Catholic Worker House of Hospitality, named Wallyhouse! Our Catholic Workers are David and Barbara, members of the Third Order of St Francis, an Episcopal lay order that follows the Rule of St Francis of Assisi. Ministry activities include doing the laundry of the houseless, feeding the hungry and creating an arts program directed at our neighborhood youth. Stop by for a friendly hello any time!
School is a challenge for children everywhere. When folks are struggling to keep a roof over head and the lights on, it can be even tougher. So, every Monday and Wednesday afternoon, from 3-5 pm, we offer tutoring for kids k-12 in Shim Hall. It’s led by our Youth Minister Melanie Langi and volunteers are always needed! Help give a keiki a leg up and stop by — even if it’s just once a month!
